Neal McCraw
Operations VP
Mr. McCraw is a 1975 graduate of the US Merchant Marine Academy with a BS degree in Marine Engineering. Neal continued his education at Georgia Tech where he received his Master of Science Degree in Nuclear Engineering. Neal spent most of his 44 year with Duke Energy in progressive management roles in nuclear generation and Duke Energy Subsidiary Duke Engineering & Services. Prior to retiring from Duke Energy, Neal served as the Major Projects Contract Manager responsible for $1.5B in goods and services contracts. Neal was responsible for managing all professional discipline contingent worker contracts with more than a dozen staffing companies providing 400+ professional contingent workers.
After retiring from Duke Energy in 2012, Neal joined Merrick & Company in the role of Director of Power Strategic Markets & Accounts where he generated an opportunity pipeline of $350M. Neal joined ASAP in 2017 as the Vice President of Marketing & Business Development where he is responsible for growing ASAP’s business by diversifying its markets served, services and client base. Neal is currently the Senior Vice President of Operations with Sole Trader Renewable Energy LLC where he is responsible for developing and executing renewable energy projects, site operations and maintenance.
Neal’s 44 years of diverse management experience in the power/industrial, government and the competitive commercial power marketplace covers the life cycle of the nuclear utility, government and competitive commercial nuclear market place including: commercial nuclear plant startup/commissioning/operations, commercial nuclear business unit executive management, and Department of Energy (DOE) program and project management and nuclear facility decommissioning, Major Project goods and professional contingent worker contract management.
Mr. McCraw has been a strong supporter of the communities where he has resided. Neal served in several leadership/committee chair roles on the Aiken SC Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Citizens for Nuclear Technology Awareness, American Nuclear Society Savannah River Site Chapter.
